If it does not cover the denture that you have decided on then ask what kind of denture it does cover. The same is applicable to those that have Medicare or Medicaid. Medicare will only cover the extraction and not the denture. In order to know what Medicaid covers you must talk to your counselor at the Department of Human Services.
Considering these two programs to see which one will cover the denture that you would like should be done prior to telling your dentist what your final decision will be. You would not want to make the arrangements and start the work only to find out that you cannot afford to pay for it.
Using Permanent Dentures After Teeth Extraction
If you have only a few teeth to be extracted you may want to have the new teeth placed into the open sockets immediately and bonded to the anchor teeth. Also for a few teeth you can have a partial denture that can be clipped onto or attached to the anchor teeth.
