Going To A Display Of Realistic Baby Dolls And Games Together With My Spouse And Kids
I took my entire family on a family trip last week to a museum of childhood and toys. My wife likes dolls, mainly about realistic baby dolls, as she has been collecting them for many years. She informed me that there was going to be a display of realistic baby dolls at this museum, so we figured we'd take a look.
When we arrived, we soon found that this was a really large exhibition into the lifes and cultures of youngsters over the past 150 years or more. There was one special display that made me saw how difficult a life kids had back within the late 1800's.
It was exhibiting to you the difficult situations that they had in their job as well as the hours they needed to put in.
One of the cases was chimney sweeping. Kids as young as 6 years of age was doing that job, with no safety equipment and was exposed to apparent lung problems. Accidents and tragedy was frequent its unhappy to say. The times have been lengthy too, with children working so long as thirteen hours a day in factories with only one short break. How the standard of life has modified within the hundred or so years for the worlds children.
Along the a show, there was an enormous array of toys from the past, right up to the present. Some of these toys made me think fondly of my childhood, as one or two of the gadgets on show I remember owning, and starting from toy trains and tricycles, right up to some of the widespread branded board games we can still see today.
It was not only a fun day out for my whole family. My spouse was happy to see her realistic baby dolls, and a big range of dolls there was. This visit was without a doubt an eye opener and more crucially, a reminder that life was not as easy for kids as it should have been back in these difficult laborious, long working days 100 or so years ago.
